Gambia

Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Association (CRA) is a chimpanzee rehabilitation project in Africa, working to give orphaned chimpanzees the opportunity to grow up free and independent in their natural environment instead of living in captivity (i.e. laboratory). They protect and monitor a population of 76 chimpanzees occupying three islands in the River Gambia National Park.

Please check on the CRA website to see if they have volunteering positions available.
